What is the event about?

The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practising yoga for health and stress reduction. The session will have yoga and meditation led by experienced yoga teachers in Aberdeen and is suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioners. This event is fully free to attend only requiring you to register to book as spaces are limited.

When?

This year in Aberdeen, The International Yoga Day will be celebrated on the 30th of June (Sunday)

Woodbank Sports Hall, North Deeside Road, Cults, Aberdeen AB15 9PN

16 and above only

Price:

Free, but since spaces are limited Online Pre-registration and free ticket purchase is Mandatory.

What to expect at session?

1) Physical Posture practise (asana) for strength, flexibility and overall well-being.

2) Meditation and Relaxation techniques to calm your mind, relieve stress and improve focus and mindfulness in everyday activity.

What to bring to the session?

Yoga mats, yoga straps (or a tie) and warm blankets (for yoga nidra relaxation) to be brought by attendees.

If you do have a yoga block please bring it along. We will be able to provide limited numbers.

Refreshments will be provided after the session.

The session is suitable for beginners and regular practitioners. Those under 18 years of age must have this event registration booked by a parent or guardian.

Please use public transport as much as possible to get to the venue. Parking spots are on a first come first serve basis.
